Kyle
Lange 3.16.2004
Micky’s Blue Room
by Elizabeth Seward
Kyle Lange can capture an audience enough
to make a bar-crowd go silent like a playhouse. His skillful
guitar work and soulful lyrics are worthy of praise, but his
voice is what steals the show. Classically trained in opera,
he has extraordinary control over his honey-smooth voice.
His songs are balanced on solid structures, yet are like nothing
I've heard before. Percussionist Pete List, who knows how
to flavor the music with his beats, accentuated the performance
nicely. Kyle is definitely on his way to becoming one of New
York City's premier singer/songwriters. |
