This exhibit
aims to paint a picture of Rock and Roll with light, utilizing
the unique environment only offered by the dingy, dimly lit
NYC clubs to capture moments of movement and energy. All of
the images are of known musicians, yet you probably won't
recognize most. Subjects include members of Fixer, iLash,
Silvertide, Scarlet Fields, Jennifer Hartswick Band and the
Gavin DeGraw Band. All work is printed on professional photo
paper utilizing a large format digital photo printer courtesy
of NYU.

Sometimes, when the mood
is just right, and the lighting hits the stage in a certain
way, the emotion of a live performance can be captured on
film. These eight photographs represent the energy that movement
and music project into the eyes of an audience. Though some
might dismiss this collection simply as blurred outtakes of
cleaner, more concise work, Craig found in each of these pieces
a summation of the artistry that escaped the stage during
performance.
